Community helps after serious Madison Co. crash


A couple was returning from the church happened to meet with a deadly crash in Madison county on Sunday. It is said that the driver of the vehicle 9-month pregnant woman got some injuries and her husband Jesse Sperry died on the spot.

Actually, this accident had occurred at around 12:21 p.m. Sunday in the 7500 block of West State Road 32. Police said that an off-duty police officer James D. Foutch, was responsible for this crash and has been arrested. Investigators said that the off-duty police officer was driving his car in intoxicated condition and he has been booked in the Madison County Detention Center. It is said that the condition of the Rebecca was very serious however she had to be transported to St. Vincent Hospital by medical helicopter.

Hospital authorities said that when she arrived at the hospital, she had given birth to a baby. Unfortunately, autumn is going to start her life without her father.

On the other hand, Andy Ellingwood, Town Marshal with Edgewood Police Department said that “it was really shocking for us to know that an off duty Edgewood Police officer was a reason of someone’s death”. He further said that I think the whole town would support the aggrieved family.

Lastly, friends of Rebecca told to a private news agency that she is speedily recovering and her newly born daughter “autumn” is also fine.
